Annual Church-School Partnership Breakfasts

Church and school leaders, along with other community partners, will be gathering in two separate “Faith-Based Coffee” Breakfast gatherings this month. It’s the fourth annual gathering for the Vancouver Public Schools based group, and the third annual gathering of the Evergreen School District based group.  Both of these meetings grew out of the Pastor’s and Principals Gatherings we launched in these districts in 2014 & 2015.

The monthly “Faith-Based Coffee” group in Vancouver began meeting prior to this initial “Pastor and Principal” gathering, and a similar monthly group began meeting immediately following the “Pastor and Principal” gathering in the Evergreen District.

The purpose of the “Faith-Based Coffee” program as a whole is to bring together church leaders, non-profits, government sectors, school districts, and interested businesses in a united effort to address social needs in the local community. By sharing information and working together these groups have been able to support a number of united efforts to provide solutions for real human needs.  These breakfast meetings are specifically focused on the relationship between the local school districts and the faith community.

The Evergreen Faith-Based Partners Breakfast will be held on Wednesday January 18th at 7:30 -9:00 AM at Cascade Park Baptist Church, 1201 SE 136th Avenue in Vancouver.  You can register for this event at:
