Kids' Rock!
“Kids’ Rock!” was founded by Mary Ligget at Bethany Elementary School in 2002. Initially, the group was Mary’s daughter and several friends, but God had big plans—it soon grew to an average of 50-60 kids per week as the Lord called other parents to step in.

In 2010, Kids' Rock! became a non-profit organization with the vision of reaching other schools with the message of Jesus.  Currently, they are in two additional schools in the area and are reaching approximately 250 kids.

This after-school ministry is continuing to look to expand into additional schools. They have new groups potentially forming at: Lynch Wood Elementary in Portland, Kinnaman Elementary in Beaverton, and Gaston Elementary in Gaston. They also have someone who has expressed interest in starting a group at a school in Forest Grove. Please pray for the Lord to provide the volunteers needed to get these groups started!

The feedback has been tremendous: "Through this experience my kids have solidified their knowledge about God, deepened their faithinvited non-Christian friends, and were able to connect with fellow classmates who are Christians."- Parent

"Melts my heart to see how many young Christians are looking to grow in their relationship with Christ as well as build relationships with like-minded youth. Thank the Lord for these small ones and the parents that are supporting and guiding them on their daily walk with God." - Leader

"Kids' Rock! provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn about God, and to experience fellowship with other children. The enthusiasm of those who regularly attend is contagious and invitations are often extended to classmates who might have this be their only exposure to Christianity. As a teacher, I know I can rely on those who attend to be a positive influence in classrooms. Kids' Rock! is a blessing and a testimony."   - Teacher
