Cooper Mountain Presbyterian Fellowship recently hosted their 4th annual back-to-school community event at Hazeldale Elementary in Aloha. This event was a partnership between Cooper Mountain Presbyterian Fellowship, Hazeldale school staff, and the Hazeldale parent-teacher organization. While the weather was uncertain at times, an estimated 150-200 Hazeldale kids and parents still came to enjoy the fun and fellowship. Smiles and laughter were everywhere as participants interacted with church volunteers, school staff, and PTO members. The inflatable bounce houses, carnival games, and presence of the firemen and fire truck were a huge hit!
This event is one small piece of the ongoing partnership between Cooper Mountain Presbyterian Fellowship and Hazeldale Elementary. From buying all the school supplies for every Hazeldale student to running a volunteer reading program to provide one-on-one reading support, the church and its volunteers continue their dedication to making a difference at the school. The partnership continues to thrive, as the church has been embraced over the past five years by the Hazeldale community. Cooper Mountain Presbyterian Fellowship has also benefited from the relationship with Hazeldale Elementary in countless ways, and it continues to be a blessing to see the Lord work through this community partnership!
