DHS is recruiting volunteers to assist in the transportation of children in foster care to their medical and non-medical appointments. Volunteers can work as many (or as few) hours as they desire and are eligible for mileage reimbursement at a rate of $0.56 per mile. All volunteers must attend an orientation and pass a background check. To get involved, contact DHS volunteer services for Multnomah County at 971-673-3503 or Washington County at 503-598-6297.
