Being a school bus driver is a rich and rewarding experience for many people. The North Clackamas School District offers competitive wages, great benefits and a fantastic atmosphere. All training is paid, and we help you with the licensing fees. If you like driving, and like kids, this is the job for you.

• School bus drivers must have a Class B CDL with no air brake restriction, and with the passenger and school bus endorsements.

• North Clackamas School District pays for this training, and reimburses the licensing fees after the completion of training.

Training includes:

• 20—30 hours behind the wheel of a school bus.

• CORE class that covers qualifications, bus construction standards, responsibilities, regulations, pupil management, emergency and accident procedures.

• First Aid Class

Let's make riding school buses easier for our students this coming school year! We are looking for at least 68 volunteers to help children in Kindergartner and First Grade learn bus rules and safety for the first three weeks of school.

The week of 9/8 will be to assist First Graders.

The week of 9/14 emphasis will be on Kindergartners (their first week of school).

The week of 9/21 will be reinforcement for both First Graders and Kindergartners.

Drivers will pick up volunteers in the Milwaukie and Putnam feeder system at an Elementary School or along the route. Volunteers in the Clackamas feeder system will be picked up along the route or at Clackamas High School.
