Wellness Programs for Seniors

Lift Urban Portland has started their wellness programs to support low-income apartment residents of the elderly community. Volunteer nurses from Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital are providing education and blood-pressure monitoring on rotating Thursdays at Gallagher Plaza, Williams Plaza, NW Tower, and Medallion apartment complexes in North West Portland.

Healthy-living discussions will also be provided which include "Meal Planning from the Garden Harvest," "Signs and Symptoms of Stroke and Risk Factors," ABCs of Medication" and more. In the future, National College of Natural Medicine will partner with Lift Urban Portland and Home Forward to establish a clinic at NW Tower, offering opportunities for interns to work with the elderly and disabled.

If you are interested in volunteering for these wellness programs, please contact the Lift Urban Portland office at 503-221-1224 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  Training will be provided.
